Big Print Blog

Why are we calling this blog "Big Print"?

Because we want to shed some light on the small print you see in financial documents. By pulling back the curtain on how a credit card company really works, we can work together to be better.

Charity Partner Update
Barclays Ring Public Blog

WoundedWarriorsProjectLogo.jpgWe are thrilled to announce that Wounded Warriors Project is the winner for our 9th Giveback™ period. It was a very close vote (see pie chart below).

While the Giveback™ pool is trending positive, we are still in the process of crunching the numbers to complete our 9th Giveback™ period. If you reference our August Financial Stats updates, you’ll notice we’re on the right track based on the numbers; however, it appears that our individual Giveback™ allocation will fall short of the positive benchmark we hoped for this period. Regardless, it’s an honor to announce the Wounded Warrior Project as our 9th Giveback™ Charity Partner. Your participation, passion and support not only selected our Fall 2016 Giveback™ Charity Partner, but it helped raise awareness for various organizations across the nation. Thank you to everyone who nominated and voted for an organization!

We also want to take this opportunity to share with you other programs and initiatives that Barclaycard  reaches through our Military Services Network, comprised of colleagues at all of our locations across the US. As part of our Diversity and Inclusion and Community Volunteering initiatives, our Military Services Network’s mission is to develop and promote veteran-oriented community work in support of the bank’s citizenship agenda.

The Barclaycard Military Services Network supports our local VA hospital in Wilmington, DE, and annually supports the removal of flags at local veterans’ cemeteries after July 4th and Veterans Day. It also supports the Wounded Walk and assists with raising funds and awareness. Just last week, the Network hosted a bake sale to send care packages to deployed military. Every Christmas, the Network adopts multiple military families (wounded or deployed) and organizes gifts and donations for the entire family. Barclaycard also sponsors the Sky Ball in Dallas, as part of the Airpower Foundation that supports military charities in a wide variety of areas. Veteran-oriented community work is near and dear to our hearts!

Stay tuned for an update on the 9th Giveback™ period later this month and the total dollars that Barclaycard will be donating.
